Brian and Kat met on a lovely San Antonio evening at a sand volleyball court. Brian invited Kat to play on his team.
They struck up a conversation and found they had many things in common, including a love of animals and favorite foods (lasagna and meatloaf).
They talked until closing, and made plans to meet up for a Scrubs marathon (another favorite thing in common) soon.
Their first official date was at Blanco Barbeque Restaurant the next week.
And as they say, the rest is history.
They went on to have many more adventures together, including Brian introducing Kat to the local karaoke/country dancing scene and Kat meeting Brian’s adorable dog, Barry.
Close to a year of dating, Brian proposed to Kat on the beaches of Corpus Christi on April 30th 2016.
Now they are looking forward to many more years of laughter and happiness as a married couple.
